This article explains data-driven search using tags (keywords) and full-text.
Entries in the search field trigger multiple data-driven search processes (in addition to AI-based ones):
- On the one hand, entered character strings are searched within the existing tag structure (including person tags).
- On the other hand, a full-text search is performed that includes metadata (custom filters) as well as file names and file numbers.
Both search processes are case-insensitive and truncated, so that even short inputs can generate search suggestions for further refinement. For example, the input garden would also return terms such as gardening, gardensnail, etc.
Search suggestions are optional and can be ignored while completing the input. Pressing the Enter key displays all data-driven results (and, if applicable, AI-based ones).
Additional notes
Tag search: Suggested tags can be applied as filters with a click. Adding multiple tags further narrows the result set (AND condition).
Full-text search: Logical operators and exact searches are not supported in the basic search field. These functions are available via the advanced search.
