This article explains the purpose of sequential file numbering in the Media Hub.
Each file uploaded to the Media Hub is automatically assigned a sequential file number (initially with four leading zeros). It is used for unique identification and remains independent of the file name, folder, or other data. If available, the organization abbreviation* is added as prefix. So, the result may look like this: tn_00007.
Search by file number
The search field allows searching for a complete file number. A truncated (incomplete) entry is useful for finding multiple files with matching number segments.
As a general rule: the higher the file number, the later the file was uploaded to the system.
* The abbreviation can be defined in the Organization settings under General settings.
