In this article, you will learn how to access the Media Hub via SFTP.
To be able to upload and download files via SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol), you must first set up a permission for this function (also applies to administrators). To do this, you create a permission group with corresponding activation, which you then assign to one or more users. This also determines the workspaces (main folders) for which access is granted.
⚠ Note: SFTP use is possible for administrators and main users. However, it is not intended for guest users and photographers.
Set up SFTP access
The following data is required to connect to the server:
- Protocol: SFTP
- Server: mediahub.ai
- Port: 22 (default value, usually does not need to be specified)
- User: Email address (the same one you use to log in to the Media Hub)
- Password: Your regular password for the Media Hub
If you do not yet use FTP software, we recommend the free FileZilla solution, which also allows you to use the encrypted SFTP and FTPS protocols free of charge. A paid but good alternative is, for example, ExpanDrive. Both solutions are available for Windows, macOS and Linux.
If you use FileZilla, it is helpful to create an entry in the server manager (see next screenshot), then your access data will be saved permanently.
