In this article, you will learn how to use the Keep file type function when exporting images.
To make download templates (and the free format export function) even more flexible, you can select the Keep file type option under Export formats. This option has the following effect: If you have selected a large number of images, including JPEG, TIFF and PNG files, for example, the file format will be retained during export, even if you change the resolution, for example.
So far, the following file types have been taken into account:
- JPEG
- PNG
- TIFF
- WebP
⚠ Note: If you export JPEG and PNG files at the same time, for example, the quality slider only applies to the JPEG files, as PNG files are always compressed losslessly. The same applies to TIFF files (TIFF files could also be compressed with lossy compression, but this makes little sense and is therefore not realised).
