In this article, you will learn how to download files from the Media Hub.
Single file > via Media details > Download file (☁ Cloud icon)
Multiple files > select via album, folder or search result > click Download in the options bar. Several export options are available in both cases:
- Original files
- Free format
- download template you have created yourself
When you click on Original files, a ZIP file is created immediately and stored in the specified download directory. Image files are exported in the highest resolution including existing metadata. Clicking on Free format opens a window in which the following parameters can be specified:
- Export format – JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WebP, PDF
- color space or model – format-dependent, e.g. sRGB and CMYK possible for JPEG; for WebP only YcbCr
- Pixel density (in dpi) – no absolute size, varies depending on the output device or medium
- Image size* – original, 1700px, 600px, 300px, user-defined (pixel size of longest side)
- Metadata export – All metadata, Extended metadata (see here for more details), Copyright only
-
Quality – via slider (1% = highest compression, 100% = lowest compression)
* Background information on image size (scaling and compression) in this blog post.
If required, images can be cropped: click Crop imageat the top left > Select cropping type: Freeform or template (suitable for: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn – or create your own: see Organization settings > Templates > Image cropping).
Freeform allows any cropping (by mouse or pixel value input). The templates, on the other hand, are bound to fixed pixel dimensions. Finally, click on Done.
If images are to be exported with a watermark, this can also be defined under Free format > Upload watermark > Select file from hub or Upload file. Further details can be found here.
If the defined settings are to be used as a template > tick Save settings, assign a name and save organization-wide if necessary > then start download.
