In this article, you will learn how to edit video files and download them in different resolutions and how to retrieve code for embedding videos (both requires the video editing module).
To create a clip, select a video file and click on the download button in the media details (right sidebar). Now click on Free format in the drop-down menu.
The video manager will now open in a pop-up window. The tools provided allow you to shorten and crop videos with just a few clicks. Two different cropping types are available:
- in free-form mode, the aspect ratio can be freely defined
- in social media mode, you can choose between the original aspect ratio and platform-specific optimised sizes, which greatly simplifies the creation of precisely fitting clips.
The absolute resolution can be maintained or reduced in both modes as required.
To retrieve HTML code for embedding videos, click on the Embed code option in the download menu. In the window that opens, you can adjust the color of the control elements and the size. Optionally, the embedding can be done via iframe. The code is adapted accordingly after ticking the box. Now the code just needs to be copied.
