In this article, you will learn how the Media Hub can be integrated using the CI-Hub connector.
Using a CI Hub connector plugin, you can also retrieve and update your assets stored in the Media Hub from other programmes. Supported applications include Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) and Google Workspace.
In this article, we assume that the necessary connector plugins have already been set up. If this has not yet been done, please refer to the CI Hub manual or this video tutorial.
The CI Hub connector ensures that your media hub can be selected as a data source in your preferred application. In the following example, we have used the connector in Microsoft Word.
To access your Media Hub, first click on the red CI HUB button on the far right of the ribbon.
A search field will then open in the sidebar, which you can use to select various providers as a data source. Search for "teamnext" and select the Media Hub using the plus icon.
A connection will now be established. The first time you do this, you will be asked for your login details for the Media Hub. You can then view the familiar folder structure of your Media Hub.
You can now search your Media Hub for the desired assets in various ways, e.g. using the folder view, full text search or keyword filters.
Double-clicking on a thumbnail opens a larger preview image. Various metadata is also displayed.
To load graphical content into the application, simply click on the download icon and select the Place option.
A final click on Ok inserts the graphic. In a Word document, this is done at the cursor position.
