In this article, you will learn how to delete files from the Media Hub and how to remove assets from albums.
To avoid any misunderstandings: We are dealing with two fundamentally different processes here.

- Removing assets from albums
You should only use the first process if you really no longer need the file. The actual file will then be deleted from the server.
The second process can only be carried out in albums. Albums are virtual collections. If you remove an item from an album, no file is deleted. All media in your folders are retained.
If you are working in an album, you can use both functions at single image level under the media details.
If you are working in an album, you can also remove several items from the album at once (but not delete them).
Deleting several files at once (mass deletion) is only possible within folders.
Note: Regardless of whether you want to delete files or remove items from albums: To be on the safe side, you will always be asked again whether you really want to do this before you start.
