This article explains how to manually release or block media for the Media Portal.
When creating a Media Portal, the Secure publishing option can be activated, see here. As a result, only explicitly approved files are published in the Media Portal.
The file status function is fundamental to Secure publishing. By default, all files receive the file status In progress after upload. The status of an individual file can be viewed and changed under Media details > Status. The following options are available, based on traffic light colors:
- Approved (green)
- In progress (yellow)
- On hold (red)
Releasing or blocking multiple media works as follows: in the Media Hub, select the desired files via the album or folder structure > in the action bar under ⋮ More > Status, click Approved or On hold and finally Save. To undo a release or block, proceed in the same way.
