In this article, you will learn how you can simplify the registration process for external users by setting up automatic activation for email addresses of a specific domain.
The overriding aim is to give colleagues from your own company or employees from partner companies secure access to the portal without unnecessary waiting time.
This is how you proceed: In the options bar of the Media Portal, first navigate to the Users tab. There, click on the settings icon ⚙️ in the top right-hand corner. In the window that opens, expand the view under Automatically share users. You now have two options:
- Create confirmation for a single domain
- Create confirmation for subdomains
With the first button, you can store individual domains (e.g. domain.com). Individual subdomains such as beta.domain.com are also conceivable. The second button, on the other hand, allows you to release the main domain including ALL subdomains (wildcard release for subdomains).
If you have ticked Activate registration and saved, users with email addresses that belong to a shared domain are automatically activated.
Note: Additional domains can be released by using the buttons several times.
