This article explains which AI modules (artificial intelligence) are available.
The following AI modules are integrated into the Media Hub:
- Smart tagging – optional, used for content indexing (see here for details)
- color vector calculation – mandatory, enables searches with color filters
- Similarity vector calculation – mandatory, enables duplicates* to be recognised and similar images to be searched for.
- Face recognition – optional, marks faces on images, for general detection: Are there people on the image? If so, how many? Etc.
- Person identification – optional, receives data from face recognition, identifies persons on which it has been trained.
When creating a new folder under Shared folders, all AI modules except Smart Tagging are mandatory. Please note: No AI modules are active in the Personal folder.
The modules process finished image formats such as JPG, TIFF, PNG or SVG as well as common raw data formats such as ARW, CR2 or NEF. Multilayer formats such as PSD or AI are not supported.
* If a duplicate is recognised during the upload, a manual decision must be made as to whether it should be kept or deleted.
