In this article, you will learn how to obtain and manage declarations of consent.
Firstly, the required legal texts and cover letters must be created in the backend. To do this, navigate to the Consent management section in the organization settings. Here you will find the corresponding text fields, which now need to be filled in according to your personal requirements and needs.
Appropriate texts can also be entered if the persons depicted are minors or minors.
Once this process has been completed, obtaining consent is child's play: simply mark the media for which consent is required using the grid, then navigate to Consent in the top bar under Edit and click on Create consent request – and a corresponding request can be sent to the person depicted (or the person with parental authority) with just a few clicks.
The prerequisite is, of course, that the person depicted has been selected so that the corresponding personal data record can be called up.
The next step is to determine which depicted persons are to be requested. You must also define which channels the consent should apply to.
If the consent should only apply to the selected images or videos, the option Individual consent request must be selected under Type of consent request.
The other option (General consent request) is more comprehensive and also includes future image material.
As soon as a consent request has been sent, the associated media is assigned the status Requested. Depending on the response, the status is then updated to Granted, Partially granted* or Refused. It can be called up in the media details (right sidebar).
* The use of at least one channel / medium has been denied.
